Practical guide
Character swap AI: photo interpretation or video replacement?
The phrase character swap AI can mean two different jobs. One creates a new fictional role from a portrait. The other replaces an actor inside a source video while retaining its performance. Know which job you need before preparing assets.
1. Choose the supported job
The Mimolix photo template starts with one consenting adult portrait and an original scene. It does not accept a source video for automatic actor replacement. If you need the same shot and precise performance, do not treat a photo-only scene as an equivalent editing service.
2. Describe the new role without cloning a person
Specify an original costume, setting and one action, such as an explorer turning in a courtyard. Avoid a celebrity’s face, signature costume or voice. Keep the source portrait clear and use clothing contrast so you can distinguish intentional costume changes from accidental identity changes.
3. Separate identity, costume and movement checks
Review the face across the whole clip first. Then check whether the intended costume remains consistent and the movement stays plausible. A beautiful first frame does not show how later frames behave. If a hand covers the face, inspect the reveal particularly carefully.
4. Keep the source and permissions clear
Use a portrait and character design you are permitted to adapt. Explain that the result is fiction when sharing. For any separate video-replacement project, clear the footage and participant permissions first. Check current availability and cost instead of assuming every interpretation of “swap” is included.
Common questions
Can I upload a movie scene here?
This photo template is not a source-video replacement interface. A public movie clip is not a reuse license.
Does a portrait lock the identity?
No. It guides appearance; inspect the actual moving result for drift and unintended changes.
